The research dealt with an analytical study of the reality of faculty members in Iraqi universities and how to develop and improve them in a manner that is consistent with the requirements of the current era. The research reached:1. The need to train faculty members in higher education institutions on modern skills and trends in the world in the field of teaching and curriculum development. 2. Increase their teaching, educational and professional competencies. 3. Improving the performance of the teacher and taking care of him makes him satisfied with his work and thus helps in raising his morale which increases his productivity.4. Emphasizing the educational trends of the faculty member and developing them. 5. Senior officials of higher education institutions must be committed to developing faculty members. 6.The existence of a written policy for training and developing faculty members that is available to all faculty members.7.
