Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Instructions to Authors: How to prepare your manuscript for submission

The guidelines provided in this document are to help you prepare your manuscript for submission to conform to the Al-Kindus Journal for Science style and formatting, which need to be adhered to while preparing your manuscript. So, please follow these detailed instructions carefully...

Prior to that, we encourage you to consider the aim and scope of the journal before submitting your paper. You can find them in the journal's  About us section. So, when writing your paper try to be specific, concise, and straightforward to accomplish clear and specific aim and scope that fit those of the journal. The journal annotated template and its list of guidelines are as follows.

Important Note:

All manuscripts submitted to the KJS are subject to the plagiarism check by using turnitin checker where the similarity index should be below 20 %.  Any manuscript with similarity index more than 30 % is subject to the immediate reject by the editors. Manuscripts with similarity index between 20-30 % are given one chance for correction. In case that any manipulation is proven with the aim of circumventing the plagiarism program, the manuscript will be rejected and researchers participating in the manuscript are prohibited from publishing in the journal in the future. At the same time, the journal will formally notify the researchers' affiliation with the subject so that the appropriate legal action can be taken according to the instructions and laws of that authority.

1) The percentage of plagiarism in the manuscript submitted for publication in the journal must be less than 20%.

2) If the plagiarism is between 20-30%, the manuscript will be returned to the author for correction only once.

3) A manuscript with plagiarism rate of 31% or above will be rejected immediately and permanently. In such case, the author has no right to resubmit this manuscript in any form.

4) The acceptable percentage of use of artificial intelligence in a manuscript is 25% and below

5) If the percentage of artificial intelligence used in the manuscript is between 25-35%, the manuscript will be returned to the author for correction only once.

6) If the percentage of artificial intelligence used in the manuscript is 36% or above, it will be rejected immediately and permanently. In such case, the author has no right to resubmit this manuscript in any form.

7) The plagiarism from one single reference must be below 5%, and if it exceeded 10% the manuscript will be subject to immediate rejection

Note about Preprints

We would like to point out that the Al-Kindus Journal for Science does not accept manuscripts submitted for publication if they are published in the form of "not peer reviewed preprints" or if they are with high plagiarism index because they are stored in the turnitin checker plagiarism database.

Open Access Policy

Authors, readers, and institutions are not charged a fee to download any publication from the journal website because Al-Kindus Journal for Science is open access. The journal uses the license of CC BY (a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license). This license allows authors to keep ownership of the copyright of their papers. But this license permits any user to download, print out, extract, reuse, archive, and distribute the article, so long as appropriate credit is given to the authors and the source of the work. The license makes sure that the article can be included in any scientific archive and that it will be as widely available as possible.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author's Guidelines.
  • The text is one-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets, and other material provided with this submission.
